ปถมังวรรค๙แห่งขุนเขตพันเมีย

เรื่องของเรื่องมีอยู่ว่าหลวงตาหินจำวัดอยู่ที่วัดเเห่งหนึ่ง มีหน้าที่ตักน้ำใส่ตุ่มไว้ให้ญาติโยมที่จะขึ้นหาเจ้าอาวาสล้างเท้าก่อนขึ้นไปบนศาลา โดยจะมีคุณนายอยู่คนหนึ่งมักจะเดินทางมาวัดเพื่อนมัสการเข้าพบกับเจ้าอาวาสอยู่เป็นประจำ ครั้งใดที่คุณนายพบเจอหลวงตาหิน ก็มักจะพูดสบประมาท ปรามาส หลวงตาหินอยู่เป็นประจำ มีอยู่ครั้งหนึ่งคุณนายได้ถามหลวงตาหินว่า "มองอะไร ชาตินี้อย่าหวังจะได้เห็นขาอ่อนฉันเลย" คำพูดนั้นได้ผูกเป็นปมอยู่ในใจของหลวงตาหินตั้งแต่บัดนั้นเป็นต้นมา
