-บทนี้ใช้ด้านกันไฟทั้งปวง

๒.”สัมมาสัมพุทโธ” หมายถึง เป็นผู้ตรัสรู้ชอบได้ด้วยตัวพระองค์เอง

-บทนี้ใช้เป็นตบะเดชะเสริมสร้างสง่าราศี

๓. “วิชาจะระณะสัมปันโน” หมายถึง เป็นผู้พร้อมด้วยวิชาและจรณะ

-บทนี้ใช้ด้านโภคทรัพย์โชคลาภ

๔. “สุคะโต” หมายถึงเป็นผู้ดำเนินไปได้ด้วยดี

-บทนี้ใช้ในด้านการเดินทาง ทั้งทางบก น้ำ อากาศ

๕. ”โลกะวิทู” หมายถึง เป็นผู้รู้โลกอย่างแจ่มแจ้ง

๖. “อนุตตโร ปุริสทัมมสารถิ” หมายถึง เป็นผู้ฝึกบุรุษผู้ควรฝึกได้ อย่างไม่มีใครยิ่งกว่า

๗. “สัตถาเทวะมนุสสานัง” หมายถึง เป็นครูของเทวดาและมนุษย์ทั้งหลาย

๘. “พุทโธ” หมายถึง ผู้รู้ ผู้ตื่น ผู้เบิกบาน

๙. “ภะคะวาติ” หมายถึง เป็นผู้จำเริญ จำแนก ธรรม สั่งสอนสัตว์ดังนี้

-บทนี้ใช้ในทางป้องกันภยันอันตรายอันจะกระทำแก่เรา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นมนุษย์ อมนุษย์ อสูรกาย สัตว์เดียรฉาน ป้องกันการประทุษร้ายเหล่านั้นได้ ทั้งสิ้นแล

หรือสรุปโดยย่อเป็นองค์ภาวนา คาถานวหรคุณ ก็คือ "อะ สัง วิ สุ โล ปุ สะ พุ ภะ" นั่นคือหัวใจพระพุทธคุณนั่นเอง
