พญาแพะ, พระอาจารย์โอ พุทโธรักษา, พุทธสถานวิหารพระธรรมราช,จ.เพชรบูรณ์

มีคติความเชื่อสืบต่อกันมาตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบันว่า แพะเป็นสัตว์มงคลที่มีคุณสมบัติเหนือชั้นกว่าสัตว์อื่นๆในหลายๆด้าน ด้วยเหตุนี้ครูบาอาจารย์ในสมัยก่อนจึงถือคติความเชื่อนี้มาสร้างเป็นวัตถุมงคลไว้ให้ลูกศิษย์ลูกหาบูชาจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น อย่างเช่นในสมัยที่พระเจ้าบุเรงนองได้ขึ้นครองราชย์เป็นจักรพรรดิ ปรมาจารย์โพต่ออ่องก็ยังได้สร้าง “สีวลีขี่แพะ” ถวายแก่พระเจ้าบุเรงนอง เพราะความพิเศษของแพะมีอยู่หลายประการเช่น:

1.แพะเป็นสัตว์ศักดิ์สิทธิ์

-ถ้ามีวัตถุมงคลรูปแพะแล้ว จะสามารถปกป้องคุณไสยและสิ่งไม่ดีต่างๆที่ จะมาทำร้ายเจ้าของแพะได้ เพราะแพะจะรับไปเองและจะทำให้เจ้าของปลอดภัย จึงเป็นที่มาของคำว่า “แพะรับบาป”

2.แพะเป็นเจ้าเสน่ห์มากเมีย

ด้วยประการอันเป็นมงคลเหล่านี้พระอาจารย์โอจึงได้จัดสร้างพญาแพะขึ้น โดยใช้ “เขาควายเผือกฟ้าผ่า” มาแกะขึ้นเป็นรูปแพะ เพราะมีความเชื่อกันว่า เขาควายฟ้าผ่าตายนั้น เป็นเขาที่ได้รับพลังจากเทพบนฟากฟ้า จากสวรรค์ทุกชั้น ทุกวิมาน เสมือนว่าควายที่โดนฟ้าผ่าตายนั้นได้รับการพลีมาจากสรวงสวรรค์แล้ว ซึ่งเขาควายฟ้าผ่าตายกลางทุ่งถือเป็นของอาถรรพ์ถูกต้องตามตำราโบราณ มีเคล็ดว่า “ฟ้าผ่ามาให้เขา ฟ้าประทานมาสู่เขา ใครอยากเป็นเขาก็จงบูชาไว้ให้ดี สิ่งใดที่อยู่ใต้ฟ้านี้ จะได้มาครอบครอง”

Therefore, Phra Arjarn O made this Goat King by using “Thundered Albinism Horn” to carve to be goat sculpture. The reason that goat amulet should be made from thundered horn of the buffalo that was dead because of thunderbolt because people believe that the thundered horn already received holy power from the gods of every heaven floor like as that buffalo sacrificed its life for the heaven’s command. Moreover, the thundered horn has been qualified to be mystical item followed ancient magic scripture. It means that “Nothing below this sky is impossible to be owned by the owner of this horn.”
